Fly The Flag Program
Join the Roswell Lions Club as we work to return old-fashioned American
Patriotism to our community. We are offering a "Fly the Flag"
program as a service to you and the community. We will support your efforts
to fly the American flag on six of the most important national holidays each year.
The Roswell Lions Club will install the display hardware at your direction
and each holiday a member of our club will put up the flag, take it down and store it
until the next designated holiday. When
you display the flag you are letting the public know that you care and
together our efforts will confirm to everyone that we believe in America and
support its traditions and freedoms. The six holidays are: President's
Day/February, Memorial Day/May, Flag Day/June, Independence Day/July, Labor
Day/September and Veterans Day/November. Please support our participating sponsors.

Rivers
Alive Rivers
Alive is Georgia's annual volunteer river cleanup event, held through
out the month of October. Sponsored by the Georgia Department of
Natural Resources, Georgia
Adopt-A-Stream Program, and the Georgia Department of Community
Affairs, Keep Georgia
Beautiful Program, and in cooperation with "Help the
Hooch" and "River Awareness," Rivers Alive is a statewide
event that targets cleanups across all waterways in the State of Georgia
including streams, rivers, lakes, and wetlands. The mission of Rivers
Alive is to create awareness of and involvement in the preservation of
Georgia's water resources. The Roswell Lions along with several
volunteers from the community cleaned up Foe Killer Creek between Alpharetta Highway and
Upper Hembree
Road. About 40 bags of trash were collected including tires, tire rims,
tennis balls, cans, bottles and other assorted pieces of trash. Results
from the previous Rivers Alive cleans be seen at
